A mobile display joint venture between Samsung Electronics Co. and Samsung SDI Co. said on Tuesday that it has formed a strategic alliance with Universal Display Corp. of the U.S., a move that will help accelerate the development of next-generation displays.
Financial terms of the alliance weren't disclosed.
Samsung Mobile Display and Universal Display have been developing advanced active matrix organic light-emitting diode materials, but the latest move would help bolster the partnership in patent sharing and technology development, the South Korean company said in a statement.
